1. What these terms cover
That SEO Agent is no longer a service you can buy or sign up for. What exists is an open-source MCP server you run yourself, this website, and one hosted instance that continues to serve a closed set of accounts created before registration closed. These terms cover the website and that hosted instance. They do not govern the open-source software, which is licensed separately — see section 2.
2. The software is open source
The MCP server is published at github.com/thatseoagent/mcp under the MIT licence, and that licence is the whole of your agreement with us about the code: you may use, copy, modify and redistribute it on its terms, and it is provided without warranty. You run it on your own machine, with credentials you issue yourself, and it does not communicate with us. We therefore take no responsibility for what your copy does, and we make no commitment to maintain it, accept contributions, or keep publishing it.
3. The hosted instance
Registration is closed. Signing in only works for an account that already existed, no new accounts can be created, and we are under no obligation to create one. The hosted instance is provided at our discretion and free of charge; we may change, suspend or shut it down at any time, and we will make a reasonable effort to give the affected accounts notice first so their data can be exported or deleted. If it is shut down, the open-source server does the same work on your own machine.
4. Acceptable use
Use the website and the hosted instance for lawful purposes only, and only against sites and Google properties you are authorised to analyse. Do not attempt to reach data belonging to another account, and do not use our crawler to place a load on a third party's site that you would not be entitled to place yourself. We may suspend access that breaches this.
5. Your data, and Google's
You retain ownership of your data. When you connect Google Search Console or Analytics to the hosted instance, you authorise it to read only what is needed to answer the tool calls you make; the scopes are read-only and it can write nothing back to Google or to your site. The open-source server holds your Google credentials on your own machine and sends us nothing at all. The Privacy Policy describes what is stored, for how long, and how to remove it.
6. Nothing is sold, and nothing was
There are no plans, no prices, no subscriptions and no payment method on file. Nothing on this site can be purchased, and no charge has ever been made: the hosted service published prices for six months and took no subscriptions before it was withdrawn. Accordingly there is no billing relationship between us, nothing to cancel, and no refund provision — because there is nothing that could require one.
7. No warranty, no liability
Everything here — the website, the hosted instance and the open-source software — is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The SEO scores and readings it produces are readings of signals we can see and not measurements of how any search or AI system behaves, and they are not advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, traffic, rankings or revenue, arising from using any of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
